Video Kiosk is designed to be reliable, playing media content in a loop without any configuration except telling Video Kiosk where your files are. However, there are many other features you can use.

Video Kiosk right out of the box – Default Behavior
If you have not configured otherwise, Video Kiosk will do the following:
- Play the contents of the Media Folder in the order of either the first playlist it finds in the Media Folder or, if a playlist is not found, the media folder contents in alphabetical order by full path name.
- Display in Full Screen Mode.
- Display any images in the Media Folder for 30 seconds.
- Display web pages for 30 seconds.
- On any device, Video Kiosk will automatically start playing the content loop. If a schedule is being used, Video Kiosk will play the content loop only when scheduled. If there is no scheduled event, Video Kiosk will, by default, dim the screen.
- Video Kiosk will automatically start playing the content loop upon waking from sleep.
Where to find settings
Video Kiosk’s settings are split into two areas: The Button Bar and the Settings Screen (and sub-screens).
Button Bar

By default, the Button Bar is displayed for a few seconds when you launch Video Kiosk and then it automatically hides.
To display it again you can
- Single-tap the screen, or
- Swipe down on the screen, or
- Swipe up on the screen, or
- Press the down arrow on a controller or remote control.
The button bar allows you to:
- Choose the Media folder containing the Media Files
- Set Video Kiosk as the Home Launcher
- Send a Management report
- Open the Settings screen
- Open the License Activation screen (Only appears if in free trial mode)
- Exit Video Kiosk (This is configurable)
There are many options to protect access to the buttons in the button bar. For more information, refer to the “Access Management” section of the Video Kiosk Users Manual.

- To go to the Settings, press the Settings icon in the Button Bar.
- To disclose the settings, click the sub-screen title.
- There are an extensive number of settings that allow you to customize your Video Kiosk. For complete information on the Settings Screen refer to the Configuring the Settings section of the Video Kiosk Users Manual.
