Is there a way to display video with closed captioning with the Android Video Kiosk app? Our display will be in a church lobby that may be too noisy to hear the audio in a video, so closed captioning is needed.

Yes.  Video Kiosk supports SubRip Subtitle files (.srt) and will automatically find and display the subtitles if the .srt file is found.  As an example you would have somevideo.mp4 and somevideo.srt in the media folder and it will just work.
