Google Drive – cannot sign in

I am unable to set up synchronization with google drive. Over and over it says “Drive not ready. Could not connect to drive. Please Sign out, Sign in back and try again”. I have tried multiple accounts, different connections etc. google drive itself works on the tablet without any problems.

Google have changed their policy with respect to third party apps accessing google drives. Currently to continue using the google drive services would require us to pay an annual fee to a third party that performs security audits on behalf of google. We are looking into alternatives but until we have a solution we are recommending the third party App Dropsync: Auto Sync Google Drive (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync) configured in Mirror (download only) mode.
