Sorry if this has been asked, but I haven’t found real strong evidence one way or the other on whether video-kiosk is supported on Chrome OS devices, such as the Asus Chrome Bit CS-10 (https://www.asus.com/us/Mini-PCs/Chromebit-CS10/) or Asus Chromebox 3.
Would you recommend either of these hardware options?
In the documentation there are a number of hardware options for sticks, tablets, and phones.
Any recommendations for a box format similar to the chromebox?
Chrome OS is not supported.
I did purchase a Chromebit to test with, I think it was the CS-10, only to discover that the Chromebit CS-10 did not support the Android software compatibility, its only planned (https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps).
My experience with Google is that something that is planned, never happens.
So at that point I stopped looking at Chrome OS. If my Chromebit ever adds support for Android I will look at it again.
For Android OS devices there are many. I recommend you get something running Android 9 Tablet (not Android TV) variant of the OS and you should be good to go.
